Before the main celebration, the couple chose to begin the day with a Chinese tea ceremony, held on the veranda of the original 137 Pillars House structure. This historic teakwood home, rich with character and cultural depth, offered the ideal setting for this heartfelt tradition.
The ceremony was intentionally intimate and unplugged, shared only with immediate family. Instead of microphones or narration, the moment was accompanied by soft Chinese traditional instrumental music that played gently in the background. A Wedding Designed to Reflect Them
Design is not just about aesthetics. It is about resonance. For this celebration, the couple envisioned a palette of rich jewel tones to complement the deep woods and greenery of the venue. With creative direction from J+T, developed and refinded by our Founder, Wannida, the floral arrangements flowed across the grand staircase, softened the edges of the outdoor wedding ceremony, and brought richness to the dinner tablescape.
The bride chose to wear a single red qipao for the entire day, a meaningful nod to Chinese tradition. The groom’s red necktie mirrored her gown, a subtle gesture of unity. For beauty, she opted for light, natural makeup to enhance rather than transform, reflecting her quiet confidence and timeless elegance.
A Ceremony Led with Love
Rather than inviting a traditional officiant, the couple asked a close friend to lead the Western ceremony. This choice made the experience deeply personal, with words spoken by someone who had witnessed their journey from the start. Held on the main lawn beneath the shade of trees, the ceremony felt intimate and warm. Guests laughed, cried, and celebrated together in a way only possible in such an intentional setting.
