The idea of this blog post started from the wedding pictures I fell in love with. It’s the outdoor wedding that was like a dream come true in Bangkok! So I interviewed the bride and approached the organizer to write about this event in Wonders & Weddings’ style.
The concept of this wedding is very much alike humanist weddings. It was created with the intention to keep the ceremony simple, non-religious. And it also reflected personal elements from Cartoon and Ched, the couple who love traveling and natures.
Behind This Outdoor Wedding
“Ched (the Groom) started the idea of hosting a wedding at Chiang Dao’s youth camp. He imagined a simple wedding with the beautiful nature of Doi Luang Chiang Dao. This is a special place for us but it’s too far for our families to travel there. Then we came up with an idea to have an outdoor wedding in a garden instead.
We searched for several places. Until Ched’s sister recommended The 66 Cottage. They have a garden, available for rental as a wedding venue. I felt that it fit our wedding concept. So we decided to have our wedding here.”
The Wedding She Imagined
“I like minimal, intimate weddings. I wanted this wedding to reflect who we were. The people invited were those we loved and have shared many memorable stories with since we were little. We wanted our friends to enjoy the day celebrating with us. Most importantly, we wanted them to enjoy the food!”
The Most Important Part
“For me, the most important part of our wedding were the guests we invited. Especially, our friends who helped us out. They meant a lot to us. Every person, from the bridesmaids to the ladies at the registration table, shared many wonderful memories. The emcees were also the two people we loved. The main key of this wedding was to make it intimate and special for those we really cared about.”
Working with The Organizer
“I found Photodiff and browsed through images of their work. And I could feel that I liked them a lot. Because they showcased what I had in mind. When Ched also agreed to hire them, I reached out. Having a wedding organizer made everything so much easier. We kind of put the money to the work instead. (lol) I was a lot less tired because there were a lot less tasks I had to do by myself. The best part was when I saw everything on the wedding day. There were personal details. And everything was well organized.”
The Bride Shared Her Feelings
“We wanted our wedding to be simple. There were something similar to typical receptions, but we adjusted to make it our own. Like changing cutting the cake to watering small pants. Every time I attended someone else’s weddings, I thought of our wedding and fell in love with it over and over. I could always feel happiness from our wedding memories. We planned many details during the process. And they all came to life on the wedding day. So I really love my wedding and feel very happy about it!”
