“When I imagined my dream wedding (in 2018-2019), I didn’t know anything about humanist weddings yet. I only knew I wanted a wedding that could represent me and my husband.
We both knew we wanted to get married in a lovely venue that was not a hotel ballroom. We wanted our wedding to be a small gathering filled with only people we love and genuinely love us.
No strangers.
No speech from people that we never met.
No traditions that we didn't feel related to.
